What can I bring into the library during my appointment?

Answer

You are welcome to bring in material necessary for your research. All personal items should remain outside the library in the lockers provided. Review lists below for details.

Permitted in the library

  • Paper, notebooks, and books necessary for research are permitted in the reading room.
  • Electronic devices such as phones, personal digital cameras and laptops (without a bag)

Not permitted in the library

These items should remain at the front desk in the lockers provided. Belongings may be inspected when users enter or leave the building.

  • All personal items (i.e. purses, bags, briefcases, coats, materials not essential to research) 
  • Food and beverages
